Wale, the self-proclaimed 'Ambassador of Rap for the Capital,' rides high into 2012 with his new album, Ambition. Fusing DCs homegrown go-go genre with hip-hop sensibility, Wale takes samples from all genres and blends them together with lyrical dexterity. After emerging onto the local DC hip hop scene with the help of WKYS-FMs DJ Alizay, Wale began getting radio play with the single,Rhyme of the Century. Buzz from this underground single gained so much momentum that Wale got featured in the Unsigned Hype section of Source magazine in June 2005.
