The 4th annual Social Communications & Healthcare: Case Studies and Roundtables will demonstrate new examples of how leading healthcare brands are accomplishing business objectives with social technologies. This year we will also focus on case studies demonstrating how major Pharmas and hospital groups are integrating social into their overall marketing and communications platform.
New for this year will be our panel, Stakeholders of Healthcare Social Media which will include practicing healthcare professionals such as nurses and physicians as well as patient advocates and bloggers. This will be a rare opportunity to hear directly from those on the front lines of providing and receiving healthcare services and their online interactions.
Brian McGowan, Ph.D., Columnist, Author & Education Technology Consultant will be moderating a panel including:
Phil Baumann, Registered Nurse, HealthIsSocial
Andrew Lopez, Registered Nurse Nursefriendly, Inc.
Dr. Howard Luks, Chief of Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy, University Orthopedics, PC & Westchester Medical Center
Sarah Krug, Executive Director, Cancer 101 & President-Elect, Society for Participatory Medicine
We expect 250 healthcare marketers and communicators to attend the half-day conference. Additionally, you may evaluate the social media buzz and live attendee feedback we receive through our #BDI1 Twitter hashtag from our events at http://storify.com/bdionline. We often are a trending topic on Twitter in New York during our conferences.
The conference uses a proven half-day event format from 8:30 AM until 1:00 PM at The Graduate Center of The City University of New York in midtown Manhattan, New York City. The agenda will consist of several case study presentations and a panel discussion in the general auditorium with 250+ attendees. The presentations and panel will be followed by two moderated interactive roundtable discussion group sessions with 8-12 attendees each on very specific topics. We will also host a networking breakfast and networking breaks in between sessions.
