| Details | Winter Jam NYC is a FREE annual winter sports festival that encourages New Yorkers to get out and enjoy the outdoors in the winter. Our partners from Gore Mountain will be blowing lots of fresh snow, so bring your snow gear! Visitors will have the opportunity to try out winter sports like cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, skiing and snowboarding for the first time, right in the heart of NYC. This year, for the first time, Winter Jam will host the Unleashed by Petco Doggie Snow Zone! Activities include a dog snow park with agility apparatus provided by Biscuits and Bath; an ‘Ask the Expert’ booth featuring celebrity dog stylist Jorge Bendersky and his pom Tito, expert nutritionists, and canine behavioralists; a dog treat bar; adoptable animals; apparel from Bark Baby Bark; and more! Winter Jam NYC 2013 is presented by the NYC Parks Department and the Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) and sponsored by Red Bull, REI, Mountain Creek, Cabot Cheese, Seamless.com, Unreal Brands, and Groupon.
