Details A panel on the legacy of Marion Cunningham (1922–2012). She started her professional career at 50 after taking a cooking class with James Beard and she became his assistant for the next 11 years. On Beard’s recommendation, Cunningham edited the 13th edition of The Fannie Farmer Cookbook (1979) and went on to write several cookbooks of her own. With Judith Jones, senior editor and vice president, Knopf; and cookbook authors Laura Shapiro and Barbara Kafka. Moderated by New School Food Studies faculty member Andrew F. Smith.
