The adage "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail" couldn't be more applicable to every book today.

But what exactly should your marketing plan include: advertising (where and how much?); publicity (do it yourself or hire an outside publicist?); speaking, writing, online (where and how much for all of these?). 



Join us on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, when our panel of publishers will discuss the elements they feel create a dynamite marketing plan, discuss their own marketing plans, and answer questions like these: 



- How do you get the clearest possible vision of your market? 



- What factors should you consider in creating a marketing timeline? 



- How do you target the media outlets that will best serve your title? 



- What is the range of distribution channels that you might include in the plan? 







OUR SPEAKERS


ANN BOROCH is a certified nutritional consultant, naturopath, educator, author, and inspirational speaker. She healed herself from Multiple Sclerosis and has been symptom-free for 18 years. JIM SCHNEEWEIS is Marketing Director of Angel City Press. Based in Santa Monica, Angel City Press is dedicated to the publication of high-quality nonfiction books that chronicle the cultural history of California. LOCATION: Veterans Memorial Building, 4117 Overland Avenue, Culver City. Corner of Overland & Culver. Parking is free on site. The parking entrance is on Culver. Meetings are on the first floor, down the hall to the left of the front doors. The PALA sign will be on the meeting room door. NOTE: Wear layered clothing. The room is usually comfortable, but the temperature may vary.
