Details On August 7th, 2013, a feline fashion show hosted by pet expert Nikki Moustaki will be held at the Algonquin Hotel on 59th West 44th Street in New York City. The fashion show will benefit one of the nation’s leading animal welfare organizations, Bideawee. The hotel’s feline mascot, Matilda, has been lovingly immortalized as “The Algonquin Cat.”

There will be a variety of fun surprises throughout the event. From 3:00pm-7:00pm the Bideawee Adoption Van will be on site. One complimentary Critter Zone will go to every cat adopted at Matilda’s party. Critter Zone is your go-to for all things pet odor related. A minimum $25 entrance donation is requested for Bidaewee. Additional donations will be accepted. Seating is limited at the event and no pets are allowed. Matilda is a charming, gracious cat who is ready for the big day.

Sandy Robins explains, "Matilda is America's celebricat. If you Google her name more than 100,000 results come up in .38 seconds! She is adopted and a wonderful spokes cat for the idea that adoption is the only option. She is also an icon in the leisure industry and helped pave the way for many hotels and resorts around the world to put out the welcome mat for pets. I have been involved with her fund-raising events for a number of years. People fly in from around the world to be present. I purrsonally never miss her furbulous annual party!"
