Steiger To Be Honored By Press ClubFrom the release: The National Press Club will present its highest honor to Wall Street Journal editor at large Paul Steiger at its 2007 Fourth Estate Award dinner Wednesday, Nov. 14 at the club. The award is given annually to an individual who has achieved distinction for a lifetime of contributions to American journalism. Steiger is the thirty-fifth honoree to join a list that includes Walter Cronkite, David Broder, Helen Thomas, Tom Brokaw, William Raspberry and Marvin Kalb. A panel of distinguished officials and journalists will laud Steiger including Sen. Joseph Lieberman (I-CT); Marcus Brauchli, Wall Street Journal managing editor; Leonard Downie, executive editor of the Washington Post and Gerald Seib, Wall Street Journal Washington bureau chief.
