While so many media houses are pulling the plug on their WHCD soirees this year, one DC publication is making its debut on the party circuit.

DC Mag's Editor-in-Chief Karen Sommer Shalett and David Sutphen of the Brunswick Group are going head-to-head with the Friday night Time/People and Cap File fetes.

The DC Mag cocktail will serve as the pub's issue release/WHCD pre-party and will take place in the MyHelsinki Exhibition at the Embassy of Finland on Friday May 8, 2009.
