Some Reliable News On The Source
In yesterday's "Ask the Post" chat, deputy Style editor Steve Reiss was asked about the ongoing search to replace Richard "The Lionhearted" Leiby as the paper's (and hence the city's) lead gossip columnist.
Lest anyone think that this is not a monumental appointment, remember that the other daily gossip columnist in D.C. recently referred to Capitol File publisher Jason Binn as Jason Blair.
This seems as good a time as any to offer four blind items re: the Reliable Source search:
- Which top-tier candidate (mentioned in this Harry Jaffe column) has dropped out of the race?
- On which desk does the Post's newly emerging internal candidate work?
- Which Metro writer might be the new Anne Schroeder?
