Media Softball League Update
Due to last Friday's storm, only half of the teams in the Metropolitan Media Softball League were able to play their games this past week. AOL, NBC4, AP and Press Club all swept their respective series, with NBC4 recording back-to-back shutouts.
One of AOL's victories came against USA Today, snapping their win streak at eight games.
The rain outs put all the more pressure on the remaining teams. Washington Post, Post.com, the Gazette and the Express are all separated by two games or less. That volatile division could be turned upside down in one weekend.
The weather has made an already interesting playoff picture all the more exciting. With a promising forecast for Saturday, we should have a better idea of playoff seeds by this time next week.
