"I do think that the quality which makes a man want to write and be read is essentially a desire for self-exposure and is masochistic. Like one of those guys who has a compulsion to take his thing out and show it on the street." - James Jones Wednesday, May 11
NBC's O'Donnells Score Promotions
MSNBC just announced that O'Donnell (left) will become the network's chief Washington correspondent, providing the lead for major stories in addition to becoming a contributing correspondent for the Today Show (which got beat twice recently by GMA). Norah will be replaced at the White House by Kelly Same Last Name. "Norah is a tremendous talent and has been a big asset to MSNBC with her reports from the White House and her contributions to our overall coverage of politics," MSNBC chief Rick Kaplan said. "We look forward to her senior role in the network's Washington coverage as our lead correspondent on major stories." So question here: If former colleague John King is now CNN's senior national correspondent, and Norah O'Donnell is ONLY MSNBC's chief Washington correspondent, does that make her feel inferior? He gets to cover all 50 states while she's stuck with a district that doesn't even voting representation in Congress. (Also, as an aside: Dinner with Norah O'Donnell and a host of other media types is on the auction block this weekend at the latest Juleanna Glover-Weiss special charity event, according to the soon-to-depart Names & Faces. Two days and counting....) Email This Post |
