FishbowlDC has learned that HotSoup.com's Ron Fournier is returning to the Associated Press. He will assume an "at-large role befitting his deep knowledge of politics and government, combined with the internet experience he earned at hotsoup.com," according to an email sent by AP DC Bureau Chief Sandy Johnson.

Beyond Washington, he will also help AP develop a government accountability portfolio and coach up-and-coming reporters on source development and analytical writing."
