"I do think that the quality which makes a man want to write and be read is essentially a desire for self-exposure and is masochistic. Like one of those guys who has a compulsion to take his thing out and show it on the street." - James Jones Education Writers Association is looking for a Seminar Program Coordinator. Cheney Can Even Make Horses Dislike JournosFrom John McKinnon's (WSJ) Saturday pool report from Dick Cheney's trip to the Mideast: The Cheneys, including Liz -- accompanied by Prince Muteb, one of the king's sons -- arrived and took their seats in the pavilion, and the chief trainer of the Arabians led a few out. After a while the Cheneys got up and stood on the little parade area and got a closeup look at the animals. I didn't see the vice president pet any of them, but he seemed to be enjoying himself. See Deb Riechmann's quote, which I couldn't hear -- when one of the horses wouldn't move, VP quipped, "She doesn't like the press." Email This Post |
