Plame Suit FalloutThe suit filed by Valerie Plame and Joseph Wilson charges that the couple suffered a "gross invasion" of their privacy, have been impaired in pursuing professional opportunities, and fear for their safety and the safety of their children as a result of the public disclosure of Plame's CIA role. It seeks unspecified compensatory and punitive damages. The Washington Post reports that the White House declined to comment on the suit, as did the vice president's office. Plame, Wilson and their attorneys declined to comment yesterday, saying they will answer questions at a news conference scheduled for 10 a.m. today. More after the National Press Club presser.
