Sundance Dispatch: Movies & MealsFrom FBLA contributor Andrea Wachner on assignment at Sundance. Yesterday we saw one very sad, fragile, and brutal but beautiful, genuine, and hopeful film. We also ate one complete, over-priced, and delicious-due-to-malnutrition meal. The movie was called Ballast and it was the story of a single mother, her young son and his uncle, whose twin brother and estranged father/baby daddy has just committed suicide. There was not one lick of music in it, the acting was incredible, and the story was just heart wrenching. Now, the meal. It was Japanese. We stuffed-face in record time in order to rush off to a meeting, but slow enough for one of my 10 condo-mates, the incredibly talented actress and creator of the Silver Sparrow web series, Jenn Marie Jones, to fall in Sundance Love and get Vacation Engaged, and not be able to use the restroom due to mop activity.
