Sundance Dispatch: What I Didn't SeeFrom FBLA contributor Andrea Wachner on assignment at Sundance. With my first full day of th' dance done, the easiest recap is to write about all the things I failed to do today. I didn't sleep last night. I didn't make it to the screening of Up The Yangtzee that the ever-generous screenwriter Michael Goldenberg invited me to. I didn't make it to the press screening of Recycle whose lovely director, Mahmoud al Massad I met on the short bus, and I didn't get into the party for Good Dick the list for which I was actually on and as you may recall, contains the body and work of one Martin Starr, who is still not here but whose cell phone number I was offered and turned down. Cause that'd be weird, right? I did manage to have a solid 25 and a half hours of cold fun and mouthed my way into some "Hollywood life" saloon where my face was painted, my bag was given three new bags and my feet may or may not get clad in a sassy pair of vegan Asics. Film highlight of the day was the post-zombie love story I Love Sarah Jane. Email This Post |
