The Writers Store, the leading provider of essential tools for writers and filmmakers, is seeking a temporary, part-time Sales Consultant. Upon demonstrated success, the position may be available long-term. This is the perfect opportunity to turn your sales experience along with your hobby or interest in writing/filmmaking into a well-paying, exciting job. A knowledge and passion for writing/screenwriting is desired.
Job Responsibilities:
- Educate writers regarding tools and solutions for their craft.
- Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions using our automated systems.
- Participate in telemarketing, store activities, and other special promotions to assist in lead generation, increased sales, and retention.
- Ensure store is operationally ready at all times and each customer has a positive experience.
- Able to work retail hours of operation including evenings and Saturdays.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 + years experience in computer, software or related technical sales.
- Ability to analyze customer needs, and present solutions through delivery of our products and services.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of multi-tasking.
- Must possess excellent oral and presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- MS office experience required. Proficiency in using multiple computer-based systems preferred.
- Positive attitude with a skill for finding solutions to everyday issues.
- College degree desired.
We Offer Part-time:
The average starting base rate after training is between $10 and $12/hour depending upon experience.
