Jonah Goldberg Runs With Amateur Journalist's Conclusions
In what is being describe by Huffington Post, who broke the story as 'Bitter-gate', citizen journalist Mayhill Fowler of Oakland reported that Obama stated the following at a Bay Area fund raiser: "And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." Fowler's resume was part of a story that the LAT wrote about her: She has written a thriller, a mystery novel and a nonfiction account of caring for her ailing mother-in-law -- all unpublished. She's a citizen journalist, admitted Obama supporter that decided he was an elitist. Then reported that opinion complete with quote on Huffpo and it spread all over the country. Confusing. Weird. Has an 'open-mike' stench to it. But not for Goldberg, after denouncing Obama for hanging out with religious extremist, falsely saying he's afraid to say the word 'patriot' and something about how he doesn't know what Obama is talking about. His latest column? Barack is a yuppie. Yeah. Good one. The zeitgeist was just screaming that one. We think it's time for Jonah to embarrass some other city. Email This Post |
