ReganBooks still hasn't responded to our queries about the status of Judith Regan's plans to move the company out here. However, the FishbowlLA investigative unit is pursuing a few tantalizing leads:

- A ReganBooks associate editor is rumored to be running the nascent LA operation out of her/his home here.

- A receptionist at the New York office told a FishbowlLA confidential informant (okay, it was my cat) that "we don't have an LA office" and that "no plans have been announced." Which is weird, because if no plans have been announced, what was all that?

Anyway, we hope she's still coming. Keep sending those tips and we'll try to get to the bottom of it.
