The L.A. Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists is hosting a mixer tonight at the legendary Redwood Bar and Grill. Come to mingle with journalists, stay for the blues-inspired hip-hop-rock of Sista Otis. The details from the SPJ website:
Take a trip back to Ice-Age Los Angeles at the Society of Professional Journalists' Mammoth Mixer on Wednesday, May 27! Our guest will be John M. Harris, chief curator of the Page Museum at the La Brea Tar Pits. He'll be talking about the huge cache of fossils found near the museum that includes a nearly intact skeleton of a Columbian mammoth known as "Zed."WHAT: SPJ-LA's May Mixer
