The trade has launched a digital edition that allows readers to read or hear the paper in 12 languages. Press release abaxio:

Los Angeles, CA (June 20, 2007) -- The Hollywood Reporter today launched The Hollywood Reporter, Digital Edition, an electronic replica of its daily magazine which has been relied on by the entertainment industry's most powerful and influential for the last 76 years. The daily e-magazine is available internationally in 12 languages in addition to English. The Hollywood Reporter, Digital Edition, offered by subscription beginning today, is a virtual reproduction of the U.S. daily with the same look, feel and award-winning coverage. The edition offers readers a high level of engagement and convenience, as well as sophisticated content management tools including interactive tables of content, cross-title searching, clickable URLs, offline reading, and archived back issues.

"The Hollywood Reporter has always been a digital leader by continually investing in our website, electronic applications and mobile products," said John Kilcullen, publisher of The Hollywood Reporter and senior vice president of Nielsen Business Media's Film & Performing Arts Group. "This launch serves the needs of our growing global audience by providing real-time industry information and exclusive analysis in multiple languages. Our new digital version is designed to enhance our readers' experience with advanced content management tools and easy accessibility via the web and mobile devices."

"The global entertainment economy is a $54 billion market with a significant portion of that coming from outside the U.S. and with a need for news, data, and analysis," said Eric Mika, senior vice president and publishing director of The Hollywood Reporter. "The international market is important to us and we will continue to serve our readers and clients around the globe with products that best help them conduct business and improve their bottom line."

As part of the digital edition, an interactive radio provides text-to-voice conversion, allowing subscribers to listen to articles in English or translated into any one of six other languages. Readers simply click on the desired content and listen to it in their choice of Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese or Russian. Text-to-text translations are available from English to 12 languages: Cantonese, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, or Swedish

A free trial subscription to the digital edition is available at, www.hollywoodreporter.com/digitaltrial. The limited time trial is sponsored by The GSM Association (GSMA), a global trade association that plays a pivotal role in the development of the GSM platform and the global wireless industry.

The launch of the digital version of The Hollywood Reporter builds on recent global initiatives including increased international staff, most recently in several Asian markets. A Nielsen Company brand, The Hollywood Reporter has access to data and resources from across Nielsen to provide a unique analytical and insightful view of global markets.

The digital edition is powered by NewspaperDirect Inc., the world leader in multi-channel newspaper and magazine content distribution and monetization.
