$2 Burgers at P.J. Clarke’s
P.J. Clarke’s, a watering hole that caters to Washington journos, is celebrating it’s second anniversary by offering its famous burgers for $2 for both lunch and dinner.
Today they’re hosting a soirée from 11a.m. to a.m. (your editors will let you out for this, right?) to celebrate.
The place is famous. In New York it’s where Jackie O brought Caroline and John Jr. for lunch on Saturdays. As the invite explains, “P.J. Clarke’s has seen more change in its time than most can hope for in a lifetime. The Depression, Prohibition, two World Wars – growth in New York and expansion to DC and Vegas – P.J. Clarke’s has seen it all. But one component has remained unchanged since it’s founding in 1884; the institution for which it was founded upon.”
Of course, Hurricane Sandy has affected them, too…
