A Stork Lands This Week

For at least one of D.C.’s media heavyweights, Deep Throat isn’t the biggest story of the week.

ABC’s George Stephanopoulos and his wife, Ali Wentworth, welcomed their second daughter into the world early this morning.

Harper Andrea Stephanopoulos was born at 2:42 a.m. today, and at 6 lbs. 9oz, 19 inches, is the same height and weight as her older sister, Elliott, was when she was born.

Everyone is healthy–but it might be a little while before the family ventures to eat at the Austin Grill again. Three years ago, when Elliott was born, the expectant parents had dined at the Glover Park Mexican restaurant the night before Ali went into labor. Last night, George and Elliott dined there again (fajitas, if you’re wondering) and took a burrito home to the very pregnant Ali. She went into labor a few hours later.

Moral of the story: Stay away from the burritos at Austin Grill unless you’re looking to become a parent.
