  • “Insiders tell TVNewser an announcement is coming soon about a new executive producer for Hardball with Chris Matthews. We’re hearing the job is going to John Reiss, former EP of NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams.”

  • “Three weeks into its three-hour block, we’re getting a sense of the ratings for CNN’s The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer.

    According to Nielsen (Live only data), the program is down year-to-year in both total viewers and the A25-54 demo. It should be noted, last November saw elevated ratings for the cable news nets because of mid-term election coverage.”
