Air America Goes X-treMe
As the satellite radio programming war continues, Florida Avenue-based XM Radio will become the “official” sat network for the progressive Air America network. The “XM Left” channel will now become Air America Radio.
Air America’s existing agreement with Sirius will end in early June — meaning if you just shelled out a few hundred bucks for a Sirius transmitter so you can listen to Al Franken and Randi Rhodes anywhere in the country, you’re out of luck. You’ll just have to amuse yourself with listening to Sirius’ exclusive broadcasts of NHL games. Oh, wait, never mind.
