Amanpour, Tapper Exchange Niceties

At least on its surface, all is well between the hosts as August 1 approaches. ABC’s incoming “This Week” host Christiane Amanpour and interim host Jake Tapper wished each other well in weekend messages on Twitter. Amanpour begins her reign as host of “This Week” on August 1. Tapper’s last broadcast aired Sunday during which he said it had been a real “honor and privilege” to host the show.
Amanpour: “As I head for the chair I hugely commend @jaketapper’s excellent tenure at This Week. I thank him & look forward to working w/ him in future.”
Tapper: “Also thanks to the amazing #ThisWeek team for all their hard work + excellence. Good luck to @camanpour!”
