The CQ Roll Call newsroom is buzzing today over the dramatic departure of Chief Product Officer Peter Anthony. Apparently monitors were smashed and desks overturned as Anthony ripped off his clothes with Hulk-like rage and stormed about the office! Okay, we made that up.
But one source did describe the situation as a “firestorm,” and staffers confirm that the decision was his and effective immediately. No word on what triggered the dust-up, but rumor has it budgets could be to blame.
Anthony was just recently appointed to his position in a big re-org last November. Previously he served as Senior Vice President of Advocacy and Engagement.
