AP Unveils Inaugural Style Guide

This may be the most pompous thing in the world or just a useful tool for publications ahead of President Obama‘s upcoming inauguration. Either way, AP has come up with a style guide created especially for inauguration.

Phrases included: inaugural balls (apparently not anything to do with the male anatomy), inaugural parade (forget clowns and farm animals, this is a sophisticated procession along Pennsylvania avenue that involves POTUS) and Capitol Hill (not to be confused with say, Disney World, their definition is: “Site of Capitol Building, nicknamed the hill.”

See the guide here. We only hope Washington publications are already familiar with these words and phrases.
