Ask Miss A – Airbrushed?

<img alt="Andrea.jpg" src="/fishbowlDC/files/original/Andrea.jpg" width="275" class="alignleft" hspace="3" vspace="3"/ Washington Examiner‘s Yeas & Nays scribes lay into philanthropist/blogger Andrea (pronounced Andreyya) Rodgers today, wondering whether her picture in September’s Vogue has been cleaned up. Her blog is “Ask Miss A.”

The insinuation is that Rodgers’s picture has been airbrushed in the SK-II skincare feature.

“SK-II Facial Treatment mask immediately hydrated my skin, leaving it cool and refreshed,” Rodgers told Vogue. “It’s a great way to relax and unwind!”

Hydrated skin or not, Rodgers doesn’t know if her photograph was airbrushed. “You’d have to ask Vogue and SK-II if the photos of me … were airbrushed or photo shopped,” she wrote to FishbowlDC. “They have the rights to use them in Vogue, Glamour, Allure and W, so the images are theirs to do with as they like.”

How does Miss A feel about the Examiner piece? “I’m a woman who can both dish it out, and take it,” she said. “It comes with the territory, and I accept that. I do find it interesting that the writers comment on how I look ‘in-person’ when I don’t actually see them in-person. I’m attaching a few snapshots from the day with Vogue if you want to run them. I know for a fact that these photos aren’t photo shopped or airbrushed.”

Note to readers: The photograph above is among the pictures Miss A sent to Fishbowl that she says have definitely not been airbrushed.

Mystery averted. We sought comment from Yeas & Nays on whether they have seen Miss A in person. What we know for certain because FishbowlDC was there…

At a recent going away party for ex-Examiner scribe Tara Palmeri, Rodgers was at the Georgetown bar on the evening of the party and so was Nikki Schwab, one of the gossip columnists who wrote the item. In this NBC Washington photo gallery, Rodgers can be seen at the party that Schwab attended in the sixth photograph.
