At CNN, Jon Klein Turns 1 Today

We had a nice chat with the bouyant and boyish Jon Klein at Teatro last night during CNN’s fantastic holiday party. As David Bohrman lurked nearby, Klein was laughing it up with Ed Henry and Jamie McIntyre and musing about his first year at the helm of CNN.

One thing’s for sure: A year after Klein, CNN owns the TV news buzz. The numbers show that CNN is both gaining viewers and losing market share, but more importantly its two big shows: Anderson Cooper and The Situation Room own the buzz this year. Who’s heard anything really exciting out of the super dominant Fox News or the lackluster MSNBC this year?
