Atlantic Marketing Director Abruptly Leaves

Georgine Anton has abruptly left Atlantic Media to return to Meredith. She was hired to run their new marketing services group and departed after seven months.

News of her hire at Atlantic hit back in September 2011. Adweek described her as a “heavy-hitter” for Meredith. Seems she missed her old stomping grounds. When she left for Atlantic, she had been at Meredith for 12 years.

A company spokeswoman confirmed the news of Anton’s departure and said she left to take a newly-created position with her former longtime employer. Jean Ellen Cowgill, who has played a key role in Atlantic Media’s corporate strategy across all brands over the last two years, will fill Anton’s role. She was named GM and VP of Think Custom Media last week.
