August Sightseeing
The latest issue of the Washingtonian has a chart breaking down the differences between August vacation spots Dewey Beach, Nantucket, the Outer Banks and Rehoboth Beach. Nantucket, says writer Mary Clare Fleury, is for “East Coast establishment and media bigwigs.” Her media bigwig examples? The likes of David Gregory and Chris and Kathleen Matthews will be enjoying “Lilly Pulitzer sundresses, Lacoste polos, and Nantucket Red pants” and (minimum) “$1000 a week” bedrooms. She didn’t say who would be wearing what, but we’re guessing Gregory in the sundress and Chris in the Nantucket Red.
