Barras Leaves WAMU

Jonetta Rose Barras is departing as an analyst on WAMU. She has been with the radio station since 2002. “The Politics Hour with Kojo and Jonetta,” which can be heard Fridays at noon, will now be called just “The Politics Hour.” The station is currently looking for a replacement for Barras.

>UPDATE: Erik Wemple deems it a firing and says it was “prompted by her persistent appeals for better pay, not to mention a rocky relationship with WAMU Program Director Mark McDonald. ”
