Being Mrs. Woodsteinlee

ephron.jpgIf it’s possible for a story to jump the shark before the centerpiece arrives (at least in the form of tomorrow’s much-anticipated Woodward opus in the Post), the unveiling of Deep Throat jumped the shark this afternoon thanks to the Huffington Post.

The former Mrs. Bernstein (or at least one of them), Nora Ephron, has weighed in on the ‘Deep Throat’ controversy and how she totally had figured it out herself and like duh everyone else should know now too since SHE TOLD YOU SO! Just couldn’t resist that, could you, Nora? It’s too bad the rest of the world isn’t as smart.

Turning to Mrs. Bradlee (whose husband will be interviewed on Nightline tonight), Sally Quinn told the New York Times today that she didn’t want to ask her husband Deep Throat’s identity–she was afraid he’d say no.

So much more class there, Mrs. Bradlee. If you two ever divorced, you probably wouldn’t even write a book about it.
