Bloomberg Government (BGOV) today announced the addition “Capitol Intelligence” to its BGOV.com platform. Tapping two former CQers to lead its charge, Bloomberg claims the new feature will provide “as-it’s-happening news and headlines, top stories, quick vote tallies and results as well as deep-dive details and rich analysis about major legislation.”
Led by Katherine Rizzo, former managing editor of CQPolitics.com and Loren Duggan, the former editor of CQ’s House Action Reports, Capitol Intelligence will offer users in-depth legislative tracking, constantly updated contact information for Members and congressional staff, calendar information for each congressional committee, data-rich portraits of each state and congressional district, including news, companies, contracts and awards, U.S. census information, maps and campaign donations.
Bloomberg says it has plans to add more reporters and editors to the Capitol Intelligence team in the coming weeks and months.
