Bloomberg Television’s Willow Bay sat down for a live conversation with former President Bill Clinton at the Clinton Global Initiative America meeting in Denver today on the topics of the U.S. economy, income inequality, education initiatives, and immigration, among others.
On whether Hillary plans to run for president in 2016, Bill Clinton’s response: “I don’t know.”
He went on to say that, “I’m for whatever she wants to do….If she were to run and become president, the last thing she needs is for me to be under foot. I would be — she’s the ablest public servant I’ve ever known. I would help. Whatever I was asked to do, I would do. I believe — just like I do for President Obama, just like I did for President Bush. I think that’s — you’ve been a former president, you need to show up when you’re summoned.”
Yesterday, “Meet the Press” moderator David Gregory interviewed 42 – to air in full on his Sunday show – and asked whether wealth among politicians puts them out of touch with society. Clinton expressed that policies, not wealth, is what’s most important.
