Breaking News at Midnight – Shouldn’t it be Important?

Midnight. It screams of shocking. Unusual.  Seems that when a publication breaks news at midnight on a Friday it ought to be, well, something urgent.

But on Friday at 11: 56 p.m., Politico‘s Amie Parnes, who is admirably dedicated to every morsel of information about the First Lady, broke the story that Prince Charles loves Michelle Obama‘s vegetable garden. Not that one shouldn’t care about what Prince Charles thinks about anything let alone that hyper press exposed vegetable garden, but we think we could have waited until morning.

The story:

“I’m full of admiration.”
— Prince Charles speaking about Michelle Obama’s kitchen garden to NBC’s Brian Williams in an interview that aired Friday night.
