Cap File Celebrates 5 Years
The Corcoran Gallery played host to Capitol File‘s fifth anniversary fete last night. Guarded by a gestapo of magazine interns who seemed excited to turn away would-be crashers (and those who fell victim to a clerical error *see: me), the event featured “Project Runway” host and Cap File cover boy Tim Gunn. A sensory overload designed by Andre Wells, the soiree boasted a four-foot birthday cake, a deejay and drive-by appetizers that made their way through the bar on a sushi-style conveyor belt.
Representing the magazine were new EIC Kate Bennett, Niche Media CEO Jason Binn and Sarah Schaffer, former EIC turned publisher. Media-types spotted taking in the sights and sounds were WBJ‘s Jen Nycz-Conner, The Hill‘s Emily Goodin, Roll Call‘s Jackie Kucinich, Stephanie Green, Politico‘s Kiki Ryan, Janet Donovan, CBS’s Christine Delargy, FD’s Mary Kathryn Covert, Politico‘s Patrick Gavin and Project Beltway’s Rachel Cothran.
