Chevy Chase on D.C. Media: So Far So Good

Chevy Chase.jpg
Chevy Chase gets acquainted with radio host Bill Press.

Actor and comedian Chevy Chase, who attended the White House Correspondents’ Dinner Saturday night, went rogue on his table mid-way through dinner and walked toward the dais to talk to CNN’s Ed Henry, NBC’s Jay Leno and First Lady Michelle Obama.

On his way, many stopped him to talk. One journalist was lefty radio correspondent Bill Press, whose guest was Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), his boss (indeed, Press is still the senator’s intern). Press sat with C-SPAN.

Chase seemed completely at ease talking to members of the D.C. media. Asked how Washington media was treating him so far, he replied with a smirk, “What would they do? Nobody’s called me an asshole or anything, but they don’t know the truth.”
