Chris Matthews Does The Tonight Show for 24th Time

MSNBC “Hardball” Host Chris Matthews wasn’t lacking for words on NBC’s “The Tonight Show” last night where he discussed the 2012 GOP presidential playing field and Libya with host Jay Leno. He calls the field “the weakest list of candidates I have ever seen.” This was his whopping 24th appearance on the show.

On Mitt Romney: “He gives a bad name to empty suits.”

On Mike Huckabee: “He one of these guys that comes off as nice. He’s a reverend, a minister. He’s out there selling that Obama grew up with the maos maos in Kenya. … I think it’s racist, I’m sorry. That’s the game they’re playing.”

On Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.): “You gotta know something to run for president. …Wouldn’t you want your plumber to know what a pipe was?”

On Quaddafi: “Do you ever watch him? What is he looking at up there. … the people think he’s communicating with somebody out there.”
