Close Masthead Reading

Interesting little addition to the National Journal masthead today: It looks like the magazine has hired Murray Waas as a staff writer.

Waas, who has written for the New Yorker, the Los Angeles Times, and the American Prospect among other publications, has been writing freelance articles around the city in recent months (mostly for National Journal), and lining up one scoop after another in the Plame leak investigation–the guy is either channeling Patrick Fitzgerald or he’s got a log-in to the investigator’s email.

His debut piece in NJ today focuses, surprise surprise, on the 2003 uranium investigation into Niger.
