Congress Tackles The Future of Media

Fresh after yesterday’s exciting day on the Hill–complete with a fire and an evacuation–Congress will today be turning its attention back to important national issues. No, not the Bolton nomination. We’re talking about the future of the American media.

This afternoon will be the first briefing by the Future of American Media caucus, where Caucus Chair Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) will moderate a briefing panel with the FCC’s Michael Copps, Intel’s Peter Pitsch, Consumers Union’s Gene Kimmelman. Evidently Geraldo couldn’t make it.

If you’re on the Hill, it’s 2 p.m. in HROB 2105. Volunteers to live-blog it are welcome.
