We’re not generally in favor of reporters lobbing softballs to Members…but tonight is different.
This evening, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Rep. Jo Ann Emerson, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand and Sen. Lisa Murkowski, will face off against the women members of the Capitol Hill press corp led by CNN’s Dana Bash and WaPo‘s Shailagh Murray for the 2nd Annual Congressional Women’s Softball Game.
Michelle Fenty will throw the honorary first pitch while MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell and Boston Globe‘s Susan Mulligan step in as announcers. The game will benefit the Young Survival Coalition (YSC), an organization dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women and breast cancer.
The game is being held at Guy Mason Field – 3600 Calvert St. NW from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm tonight.
