CQ & NYTimes Partner Up

In a publishing arrangement that brings together the two leading providers of award-winning, original political information and analysis, Congressional Quarterly Inc. (CQ) and The New York Times today announced an agreement to create a new book imprint and begin publishing reference books for the library markets.
The new TimesReference from CQ Press matches CQ’s book company, CQ Press, with The Times’s book development efforts, and will comprise a series of document-based reference books created for high school, college and public libraries. The books will be developed and published by CQ Press, and will be derived from The New York Times’s vast historical archive of news reporting and editorial content as well as original CQ narrative, context and analysis.
