CQ-Roll Call Creates Media Relations Position

Leilani Brown, senior V.P. and chief marketing officer of CQ-Roll Call, has announced a new hire for a newly created media position. The hire is Karen Gaither, who will handle all press and media relations for CQ-Roll Call.

Gaither will report to Bill Kiniry, director of brand strategy for the CQ-Roll Call Group.

Her past: Gaither was most recently senior manager of public relations for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Among her past jobs: a C-SPAN producer, a production assistant and writer for News Channel 8 and an intern for a congressional press secretary.

Dear Colleagues:

I am pleased to announce that Karen Gaither has joined CQ-Roll Call as Senior Manager, Promotions. In this newly created role, Karen will actively promote the CQ-Roll Call Brand, our extensive and award-winning Editorial talent, as well as lead our promotional and community engagement activities. Karen will report to Bill Kiniry.

Karen joins us with over 15 years of public relations and communications experience. As the Senior Manager, Media Relations for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce she was responsible for establishing the media relations department and significantly increasing the Chamber’s on-air appearances. In addition, Karen worked as a producer for C-SPAN Television for 5 years and even boasts an internship with a Congressional Press Secretary.

Karen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Appalachian State University.
