David Meyers, who has been managing editor of Member Information and Research for CQ Roll Call, is moving over to the business side of the publication. He will take over StateTrack, which follows legislative developments on the state level. As Meyers settles into his new role, CQ Roll Call‘s Editorial Dept. will be looking to replace him very soon.
Meyers fun facts: He has worked at CQ for 16 years. In addition, the Maryland-Delaware-District of Columbia Press Assoc. awarded him first place in the sports feature story category for “50 Years of Baseball: A Natural Camaraderie,” which detailed the long tradition behind the Congressional baseball game.

Please see below Peter Anthony’s announcement that he has hired David Meyers to take over StateTrack on the business side. This is great news for David, but we’re going to miss him here on the seventh floor, where he’s been a solid leader and thoughtful editor; I told Peter he’s getting someone who seems to succeed at everything we throw his way, which has been a lot in the last few years. We’ll be looking to replace him down here fairly quickly, though David has agreed to help see us through on some important projects, like the upcoming New Member Guide. In the meantime, please join me in congratulating David on this move, and in wishing him well in the new position.

I am pleased to announce that David Meyers has accepted a position on the Advocacy & Engagement team and will be taking over StateTrack. David has been managing editor of Member Information and Research for CQ Roll Call – where his portfolio includes Politics in America, member data on CQ.com, data for Capwiz and Knowlegis, and the newsroom’s fact-checking operation.
We will have a StateTrack team call on Monday to introduce David and get him up to speed on current projects.
I am thrilled that David has accepted this new role and have every confidence that he will help us grow our StateTrack business. Please join me in welcoming David.
