Curl: Still The Champion

After we wondered whether Joe Curl’s time covering the White House for the Washington Times was some sort of record for a print reporter covering President Bush for the same newspaper, a few wrote in saying, “Wait, what about Cox Newspaper’s Ken Herman?”

Herman tells us:

Nope, I yield to Curl, one of the distinguished elder statespersons of our industry, for uninterrupted coverage of President Bush.

Herman came to Washington to cover Bush in 2001, but returned to Austin in 2001. He returned to Washington in June 2004 to cover the White House and 2004 re-election campaign, but on “temporary duty” as his family remained in Austin. Once his son shipped off to college, the fam moved to D.C. in 2005.

So, congrats Curl.
