Dallas Morning News Buyouts

“Someone” is providing updates to the Dallas Morning News buyouts, including how things are going at their DC Bureau:

Despite previously expressed reservations, it has been suggested by colleagues that good can come from posting information regarding the status of those taking the buyout. Others have been collecting names of those who opted in today or have indicated that they are seriously planning to opt in. Proceed with great caution. All numbers are unofficial and subject to change. The figures floating around by day’s end are 77 people who sent in sign-me-up emails to HR and 17 unconfirmed who are thought to be likely takers. The largest percentage block from any one department appears to be in Arts & Entertainment. The D.C. bureau also had a bunch of takers, as did the Metro Desk.

So DMN’ers in the DC bureau: Who’s taken the bait?
