This Sunday, Roland Martin offers a retrospective of the year’s highlights. This includes President Obama’s inauguration, and “high points from interviews and discussions during the first season of Washington Watch with Roland Martin,” states a release.

No new interviews or guests will be included for this show. “Washington Watch with Roland Martin” airs on TV One Sundays at 11 a.m., repeating at 5 p.m. and at 6 a.m. on Mondays.

Politics Daily’s Emily Miller poses an interesting question.

Today she examines a Facebook post by former Rep. Mark Foley(R-Fla.) and his peculiar spelling of Sen. Max Baucus’s (D-Mont.) surname. Read full story here.

She writes:
“It is unclear whether or not Foley, who himself went to rehab for alcoholism, deliberately misspelled the senator’s name, Baucus, as Bacchus, which was the Roman god of wine.”

Whether Foley meant to compare Baucus to the Roman God of Wine we’re not sure. But we’re sure glad Baucus wasn’t naked like this on the Senate Floor.

No word yet on conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh’s condition, but his show goes on.

A note on his website: “Click Here for Thursday’s Stack of Stuff: Show Prep Continues Even When Rush is Off. Today’s EIB Guest Host: Dr. Walter E. Williams.”

Williams is an economics professor at George Mason University.

Notably, he’s a member of the Mont Pelerin Society.
This society is “composed of persons who continue to see the dangers to civilized society outlined of aims. They have seen economic and political liberalism in the ascendant for a time since World War II…Though not necessarily sharing a common interpretation, either of causes or consequences, they see danger in the expansion of government, not least in state welfare, in the power of trade unions and business monopoly, and in the continuing threat and reality of inflation.”

Rush Limbaugh Taken To Hospital With Chest Pains

Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh is “resting comfortably” after being admitted to a Honolulu hospital today.

ALERT (sent from RushLimbaugh.com to media after 1 a.m. EST): Rush was admitted to a Honolulu hospital today and is resting comfortably after suffering chest pains. Rush appreciates your prayers and well wishes. He will keep you updated via RushLimbaugh.com and on Thursday’s radio program.

Limbaugh was admitted to a Queens Medical Center Wednesday afternoon in “serious” condition. CNN’s Ed Henry reported from Honolulu that Limbaugh, who was admitted with chest pains, was expected to remain in the hospital overnight.

Queens Medical Center is the hospital where President Obama was born.

Mother Jones Washington Editor David Corn reacted to Henry’s play-by-play of news regarding Limbaugh, writing, “Any other tweets coming in on Rush other than those from Ed Henry?” At another point, he appeared to be tweaking the CNN White House corresponent, asking,”Where’s Ed Henry? It’s been 15 minutes since he’s Twittered.”

Speak of the devil. In chimed Henry with another Limbaugh report.

Corn closed the evening off with this: “Signing off for the evening. Good luck, Ed Henry. Rush, you’ve slimed me in the past. But, I suppose, good luck to you, too.”

Palin Goes Rogue on C-SPAN2′s BookTV

Former Vice Presidential hopeful Sarah Palin has turned down numerous requests for a sit-down interview on C-SPAN2′s BookTV for her widely read book, Going Rogue.

So far she has agreed only to let C-SPAN cameras follow her through a Cincinnati book signing. C-SPAN is still hopeful she will eventually say yes.

Why would former V.P. hopeful Sarah Palin turn down an interview request from BookTV? It’s not as if CBS’s Katie Couric is making a cameo on the most straightforward channel on television.

The Daily Dish’s Andrew Sullivan expressed annoyance earlier in the day, saying, “Yes, Palin can’t even handle a friendly sit-down with the last surviving reality-based cable news outlet.”
