Dentzer Leaves The NewsHour

Susan Dentzer sent out the following farewell note, obtained by FishbowlDC, to staffers last week:

Dear Friends and Contacts,

Having led the Health Unit here at the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer on PBS for the past ten years, I’m now moving on to an exciting venture.

As of May 1, 2008, I’ll become Editor-in-Chief of Health Affairs, the nation’s leading journal on health policy. Health Affairs is a bimonthly, peer-reviewed journal that appears in print with additional online-only papers published weekly as Health Affairs Web Exclusives at www.healthaffairs.org.

Taking over at the NewsHour’s health unit will be Betty Ann Bowser as Health Correspondent and Bridget DeSimone as the unit’s producer. Their contact information is below.
